Installation Requirements
- The Dyson Ball Animal 3 Extra must be installed on a
level, stable surface capable of supporting its full operating weight. - Ensure adequate ventilation clearance as
specified in the installation diagram on page 4. - Connect to a correctly rated power supply — refer to the data
plate for voltage and amperage requirements. - Plumbing connections (where applicable) must comply with local
building regulations and be completed by a qualified professional.
First Use
- Before first
use, run the Dyson Ball Animal 3 Extra through an empty cycle to clean the drum and internal components. - Remove
all packaging materials, transit bolts, and protective films before operating. - Set the clock and any regional
settings via the control panel as described in Chapter 2. - Register your appliance on the Dyson website to activate
the full manufacturer warranty.
Operating Programs
- The Dyson Ball Animal 3 Extra offers a
range of programmes designed for different load types and energy efficiency levels. - Eco mode reduces energy and
water consumption by up to 40% compared to standard cycles. - Quick wash cycles are suitable for lightly soiled

Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean the door seal and detergent
drawer of your Dyson Ball Animal 3 Extra monthly to prevent mould and odour build-up. - Run a maintenance wash at 60
degrees Celsius with a drum cleaning tablet every 3 months. - The filter should be checked and cleaned after every
10 cycles to maintain drainage performance. - Descale the appliance every 3 months in hard water areas using a
Dyson-approved descaling agent.
Error Codes & Troubleshooting
- Error codes on the Dyson Ball
Animal 3 Extra display indicate specific faults — consult the error code table in Appendix A. - E1/F1 errors
typically relate to water supply issues — check the inlet hose and water pressure. - If the appliance does not
start, verify the door is fully closed and the child lock is not activated. - For persistent faults not resolved by
